Six years ago we started with an idea... bring the regions best fine artists into the best possible, light infused venue, and showcase their work. The Academy Center Art Show & Sale started in 2016 and has grown each year, adding more artists, more divisions, and more prize money.
We continue to grow, adding two more venues this year - the Historic Brigham Plein Air Competition and a live performing arts venue featuring the best local dance and music companies.
In all we now have six significant art venues on Memorial day Weekend and we're getting close to covering every imaginable genre.
This year's lineup is impressive and there's something for nearly every artistic expression. The flagship event is still the Academy Center Fine Art Show & Sale, in 2019 we added the Cooley Memorial Photography Show & Sale and the Main Street Chalk Art Competition. Both drew stunning artists and were enthusiastically received.
This year we've added the Historic Brigham Plein Air which will focus on our award winning historic district and other structures listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We also look forward to a full day of local performing arts organizations demonstrations.
Whether you are a seasoned fine artist, a budding photographer, or a passionate performer, we have a place for you this year at Art on Main in Historic Brigham City. We've significantly increased our prize pool, which always returns the registration fees we collect, begun an aggressive advertising campaign to up the visitor count, and have great support from our local Main Street community.
